Meet Skye Hudson.

Skye Hudson’s journey in gymnastics began at just three years old when she started recreational gymnastics. By age four, she discovered trampoline and tumbling—and immediately fell in love. What began as a recreational class quickly became a passion. At five years old, her coach, Sabina Mamataliyev, introduced Skye to her father, Coach Beck, the Head Coach of Trampoline & Tumbling at Houston Gymnastics Academy. After seeing Skye’s natural ability and potential, Coach Beck invited her to join the team. Just six months later, at five and a half years old, Skye would compete in her very first trampoline and tumbling meet in San Antonio, Texas.

At age six, Skye made a promise with Coach Beck and a deal with her parents: she would make it to Worlds, and if so, she would get a dog. What started as a little girl’s dream became a goal that has helped shape her athletic journey. Skye has never stopped working toward it. Through countless hours in the gym, challenging competitions, setbacks, injuries, mental blocks, and moments of disappointment, she has continued to show up, work hard, learn, and push herself to become better. Her journey has taken her from her first competition in Texas to the national and international stage.

Today, Skye is a Youth Elite Trampoline athlete representing Houston Gymnastics Center and Team USA. She is known for her determination, discipline, focus, and commitment to her goals, while remaining humble and grateful for the coaches, teammates, family, and community who help lift her along the way. For Skye, success isn’t only about standing on the podium—it is about the journey, the lessons learned from every challenge, and continuing to dream bigger.

And now, the little girl who once promised that she would make it to Worlds has made it to Worlds. Skye captured Gold at the National Championships, earning her place among the nation’s best, and has been selected to represent Team USA at the 2026 World Age Group Championships in Nanjing, China. Her dream is no longer just something she talks about—it is something she has worked for, earned, and is preparing to live.

The journey that began with a love for trampoline at age four has brought Skye all the way to the world stage. And this is only the beginning.
